Don’t bottle up your problems, talk to someone; there is nothing to be ashamed of.
It’s good for people to talk about their problems, their lives and what’s going on. It’s also good to let people know they can talk about their own mental health without fear of being judged.
Sometimes you might feel that there is no one who will listen or that your problems are too big for anyone else to understand. Often though, you’ll be surprised that other people are supportive and want to help. As several of the musicians interviewed for Music Feedback have pointed out, one of the best things they have done is sought professional help such as a counsellor.
If you need to talk to someone urgently, call the kids helpline or lifeline numbers listed on this page and in the Get help now section.
